Jeanie Mai, one the the hosts of the hit talk show “the Real” was on a flight with one of AAI’s star human trafficking awareness trainer’s as her flight attendant, SHZAMM! When Jeannie heard about Donna Hubbard’s incredible story and what Airline Ambassadors was doing to raise awareness of human trafficking before the SuperBowl….she wanted to be involved! She invited Donna and Nancy Rivard, AAI’s president to be on her show Jan 20, 2017.

Sandy Dhuyvetter, a board member of Airline Ambassadors designed the Boba Fett helmet and costumes for the famous George Lucas Film – Star Wars and was invited on the “Taking Jordan by Storm” tour of Jordan to celebrate the opening of the film there, along with Star Wars designer Lorne Peterson and Hector Cruz and Rich Appendzeller in their Storm Troopers 501st costumes and official photographer, George Powell. While there she identified a project for Airline Ambassadors: See her note below:
Perhaps the most memorable stop on our voyage across Jordan was to the SOS Orphanage Village in Aqaba were we autographed photos of costumes and models that both Lorne and I had worked on for George Lucas.
I was particularly interested in the SOS model because as a board member of Airline Ambassadors International, I was curious to see if we could help with a visit to the orphanages in Jordan and in some small way make their tasks easier.
The SOS model is to create a family home for each child. Children who grow up at a SOS orphanage do so with an SOS mother or SOS parents, and sisters and brothers. The SOS aunts (directors), who are part of the village, support SOS mothers in caring for their children. In turn, SOS families are part of supportive communities. These communities are called SOS Children’s Villages. The one in Aqaba had 9 houses in the village.
We had fun playing and visiting with the children. Watching their excitement as they met the Storm Troopers was worth the trip to Jordan, I seriously wanted to take each one home. However, seeing the SOS operation, we were certain their children’s high success rate into the society was due to a real understanding and implementation of an effective and thriving business model. A worldwide organization and I hope that 2017 will bring much success and happiness to every house in all the SOS villages…Inshallah.
Airline Ambassadors will offer to their members, a tour of Jordan in May during one of the most beloved dates for Star Wars fans, May the 4th. During this tour we will be visiting film locations in Jordan and also the SOS orphanage to donate time and supplies.

The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is the largest and most successful workplace fundraising campaign in the world. Over the past fifty years, the CFC has raised $7 billion to help neighbors in need around the corner, across the nation and throughout the world. Federal employees can donate to any CFC-approved charity in the country, in addition to the 4,400 local, national, and international charities that are part of the National Capital Area. No matter what causes federal workers cherish, they can find CFC-participating charities that are meaningful to them.
Airline Ambassadors is a CFC approved charity, #44822 and receive support from federal employees.
There are charity events scheduled across the US in 2018 at federal buildings and military bases.
Volunteers are needed to sit at a table for about 2 hours to share information on our work helping vulnerable children and educating on human trafficking awareness.

Dear Family,
We share one, true connection this holiday. We are all part of the incredible family that makes up Shepherd of the Hills Children’s Foundation in the Philippines! This bond is stronger than ever. Nay Ruth’s passing requires that we all do a little more for the benefit of the whole. Ruth Mejica remains the true mother of the children at SOTH and the shining light that unites us. Ruth taught me to love God above all and the rest will fall into place. Our sponsorship program, and my relationship with all of you, is a reflection of that wisdom.
I dedicate this Christmas letter to Tay Nathan for living every day as the true shepherd of SOTH. To the children of Nathan and Ruth as they continue in their own lives and keep the great legacy of their mother alive. Thank you to Nancy Rivard for accepting a gift from an angel twenty years ago and founding Airline Ambassadors International. Her efforts, along with her husband David, provide a better life and give hope to many children around the world. Cheryl Robinson is the true inspiration behind AAI’s humanitarian mission trips to the Philippines. She continues to unite our family and is Auntie Cheryl to all the children.
This holiday I am thankful and honored to be a part of this loving community. Thank you to AAI and all of our sponsors who make this connection possible. Your dedication, volunteer hours and financial support help so many children. Without the guidance of Connex, Leah and all of the teachers at SOTH, this would not be possible.
This Christmas is a celebration of our Dearest Nay Ruth. We continue in her selfless journey to provide for others. Those who knew her, feel her love all around. Others see it in her children’s eyes. I am honored to be one of those children, and it is with great joy, that I call you family this holiday!
Sincerely,
Christine Davison
This Christmas Party was absolutely fabulous and heart touching.
The kids were so happy and grateful for all the gifts they received, the live music and the magician who gave an amazing show.
Jose Redondo and about 10 Bogota Flight Attendans were involved distributing food and gifts to all the kids.
A FA stayed until 3 am the night prior making a dessert for all the kids, and was given with the lunch at noon.
Love,
Alex Restrepo
Our Trainings at Houston’s Hobby Airport or Nassau Bay on January 26, 2017 and Train the Trainer on January 27th were amazing! It made it special to have input from survivors Donna Hubbard, Alicia Kozakeiwicz and Katherine Griffin Townsend

The team was hosted by Houston Airports Željka Momirović, Director of International Relations for Houston Airport Systems (IAH, HOU, EFD) and Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee presented a beautiful certificate to AAI President, Nancy Rivard which read: “I take great pride in recognizing Airline Ambassadors on the occasion of he Super Bowl Human Trafficking Awareness, Sadly this situation is a reality for millions of children, women, an men each year as part of the global human trafficking industry. Human Trafficking is a modern form of slavery. It is a scourge for humanity, and America must project its values and protect vulnerable persons. I am honored to join you all in this fight to reverse Houston being a capitol of Human Trafficking. With massive events come huge problems, and with your help we can stop the demand! Airline Ambassadors are worthy of the respect, admiration and commendation of the United States Congress.”
The team was also joined by Carlos Perez of the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime and Blue Heart Campaign who shared the latest 2016 UNODC Report added an international focus to this trans-national crime and helped provide a Train the Trainer along with coordinators Andrea Hobart and Michele Krick for 30 new professional trainers!
