Here are some photos of 2 little “heart” kids coming to Grand Rapids from Santo Domingo for heart surgery. The male escort is Ruben Goico, an AA Agent in SDQ. He brought them to MIA and on the right he hands them over to Kim Nguyen-Hart, who is a flight attendant and also an RN, who then took them from MIA to GRR. It was exciting for Healing the Children Michigan to once again  have 2 little “heart” patients to care for. Our darling little 8 year old girl was all smiles the entire trip but our precious little 3 year old boy required more TLC, which is quite normal for a child his age who has suddenly been told goodbye by his family and handed over to a stranger. It was not an easy trip for our two escorts, especially Kim, who also had to make a connection with them in ORD. But the mission was accomplished and soon the kids will have their hearts repaired and we will return them to their families all healthy and happy.
