Children's Escort Conference -- June 18, 2012

Thousands of flight attendants volunteer to support our rewarding program to escort children for life changing surgeries, or orphans to a new home. The program works beautifully with American's Miles for Kids in Need Program. This afternoon conference will take place near DFW and be followed by a cocktail reception. Join us to meet Margaret Whitehead, program coordinators and volunteer escorts from around the system!

Peace and Cooperation -- School Award 2012
Sport as a key for understanding and peace -- A Celebration of Friendship
UN Headquarter in New York, February 15, 2012.

David Kidwell, a Youth Ambassador for Airline Ambassadors, participated in the press conference announcing the Peace and Cooperation award for 2012. David believes that, "The Peace and Cooperation Award for 2012 is particularly powerful because it builds on the UN General Assembly resolution entitled, 'Sport as a means to promote education, health, development and peace,' and gives youth a practical way to make this a reality in the world."

Posters were unveiled at the event and contest rules were announced.  Teachers and youth around the world are encouraged to participate!
