A Life Changing Journey

Anna Maldonado escorted Marcella and Lizette from El Salvador to Los Angeles to receive donated surgery from Mending Kids International. "These courageous children have taught me not to regret having abundance in life, but to appreciate it and not to take anything for granted. I will hold the memory of our time together close to my heart." AAI volunteers have assisted 1500 children on the most important journeys of their lives. Backpacks for Haiti!

Martine Longchamp is committed to helping 22 orphans in Haiti via the non-profit she founded ? Diakonos International. She led teams with art supplies for Art Day this summer and educational supplies before school started this fall. These trips provide ongoing support for children that will change their lives and help them have a productive future. In her own words: "If we want to make a positive impact on the world, we must start with its children."

Ending Modern Day Slavery

Airline Ambassadors developed a training on Human Trafficking Awareness for the travel industry which has been provided at 20 airports and other locations. This month AAI will present at the Michigan Human Trafficking Task Force and in November the Interpol Trafficking in Human Beings Conference in Lyon, France. "Flight crew and ordinary travelers can be eyes and ears for international security combating the greatest human rights issue of our time."
