Happenings this Month
SOUTH AFRICA
"The roof is full of holes. When we visited a few weeks
ago after the rains, the carpet on the ground was soaked
and the mud was squelching up between my toes. The walls
are in dire need of fixing with mildew stains and mold growth.
The wind whistles through the cracks between the ceiling and
walls." Silviya Simmonds reports the story... Meet
Silviya and the children! Plan now for the September
trip! More

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED IN DFW AREA
(Texas)
To
help support 10 year old burn victim,
Nathaniel Ortiz who is in
Texas for for treatment at Shiners. We are looking
for volunteers that could spend time with Nata on Saturdays, take him to
a movie, the lake, miniature golfing, a
sporting event...just hang out. He is staying at the
home of one of our most popular mission coordinators, Cameron
Gray, which is also head-quarters for Orphans of the
World.. Cameron cannot always be there on the
weekends, and we need volunteers to help make
memories for this charming little guy. More

The First "JetBlue International Soccer Tournament"
reaches El Salvador! 25 Crewmembers and 14 Doctors lead the mission
with over $250,000 in aid and services.
The JetBlue team visited numerous orphanages, from
young children diagnosed with AIDs, to a home of
physically-challenged young adults and to a home for young boys
addicted to drugs, specifically glue sniffing. In addition, the team
delivered aid to families in the remote mountain areas and in a
local "Homes of Cardboard" community which houses 1500 families
living in extremely poor, unsanitary conditions. The group of
doctors evaluated and diagnosed over 1500 children and adults in
need of medical treatment throughout the country of El Salvador.
