are just some of the comments from our volunteers used when describing their mission to
the Eco-Farm Home for Orphans in Nepal.
AIRINTERMED NEPAL-2016
A Unique Mission….and Amazing Opportunity!
AirIntermed is a unique program combining the support of Airline Ambassadors International, DooleyIntermed International and Mission Himalaya. Selected volunteers (as of this writing, only two per mission) will spend two weeks in Nepal at the Eco Home for Orphans in the Saanku Valley- about an hour and a half from Kathmandu- playing, teaching and enjoying the children who live there. Volunteers will also be helping at the nearby school, the medical clinic and a Buddhist Monastery. It is an amazing opportunity to experience another culture, interact with adorable children and make a very positive difference in many lives…..including yours!
Debbie Coryell and Thelma Quinn are the most recent AAI volunteers They recently spent time at the EcoHome teaching health and sharing movies, crafts, games and…. love. They also assisted in classrooms and gave the entire school information about child trafficking. They even bought dictionaries to augment the school library and other items to help the Eco-Home. They taught health and hygiene even teaching the kids how to floss their. were sorry to leave and absolutely in love with the children…and the experience.
They opted to add a trip to Chitwan to see the jungle and ride elephants and go to Pokhara to see Annapurna and other natural sites. They both enjoyed their Nepal experience….as you can see from the photos!
The 2017 schedule of Nepal missions will be released early next year….with tentative missions to be scheduled for March, April, May and September, October, November to coincide with the best weather and avoid the cold of winter and monsoons of summer.
