This was a mission to Maligua Pamba in the Andes of Ecuador which was led by Pam Gilbert on April 2-16, 2012. Gilbert said, “It never ceases to amaze her what a difference two weeks can make especially when you have a Dream Team of volunteers.” AAI would like to thank all the volunteers and the mission coordinator for their outstanding service. The volunteers helped by improving the educational environment such as organizing the library and the computer lab, working with children of all ages. Other activities they fixed sewing machines and taught sewing. The most important activity was making a riser so that the kindergarteners can reach the hand washing taps. There is no hard work without a little fun, so the children shared their rich culture with the volunteers by exposing them to traditional dances, plays, and dialogues about how to improve their country.
