Hello everyone!
We’re so excited to announce the dates for our Spring Airline Ambassador mission trip to the Philippines! Join us as we visit the children of Abatex Dumpsite in Manila and the Shepherd of the Hills Children’s Foundation in Zambales. Below is a basic itinerary of what you can expect on our trip: April 29 – May 6, 2019
April 29th- Leave the U.S. for Manila
April 30th- Arrive in Manila and spend the night at Greenhills Elan Hotel (not included in price).
May 1st: Visit the children and families at Abatex Dumpsite. We will be providing lunch for the community, swimming or going on an excursion. Airline Ambassadors helps sponsor a feeding program for the families in the area throughout the year. Last fall, we were able to partner with the Jaimie Sheth Foundation to open up their very own feeding shelter. After our activities we will return to Elan Hotel where you are free to have dinner on your own (meal not included).
May 2nd-6th- Travel approximately four hours by bus to Shepherd of the Hills Children’s home (SOTH). We will be spending four nights and five days enjoying many planned activities such as swimming, hiking, educational workshops, excursions, arts and crafts projects and playing basketball. We are here to simply build relationships with and love on approximately 50 of the world’s greatest children (in our humble opinion). Airline Ambassadors has been visiting SOTH for many years now and sponsors children within the community as well.
May 6th- Head back to Manila. We will arrive at approximately 5pm to Greenhills Elan Hotel. This is the official end of the mission’s trip so you are free to book travel plans that night or the next day.
The approximate cost of the trip will be $650 including a non-refundable $100 deposit.
This price includes:
-meals at Shepherd of the Hills
-bus ride to SOTH
-transportation to and from all excursions
-housing at SOTH
-donations to the feeding program at Abatex and Shepherd of the Hills
This does not include:
-Flights to and from Manila and transportation to and from the airport.
-Hotel in Manila before and after the trip (Three nights total if you plan to stay the night of the 6th, approximately $50-$75 a night. You are responsible for making these reservations but we are happy to help!)
-A few meals and snacks along the way (Approximately $10/meal)
-Shopping
-Any cash donations you would like to give to these organizations are always welcomed and greatly appreciated!
